Searching Using
Smart Search
|
This section, will help you familiarize with the Smart Search functions found on Bidera ™. At the top of each page found on Bidera ™ you have a toolbar, where you make your search selection. You enter keyword(s), choose a type of search you want to do from the pull down menu next to it. Finally, to start search, you press
button to the right of search selection pull down menu. What's interesting about this seemingly basic search on Bidera ™ is that Smart Search works differently depending on what part of Bidera ™ you are visiting at the moment. If you are at the main page, or all other pages (help, my account, etc.), except categories, search toolbar will bring up two choices: Search by Item Title(All Categories) Your search will look for Items which contain keyword(s) in the Item Title, no matter what category they are in. Seller ID Search This search will find items for sale by the User whose ID matches the one you entered. Can be used to find what you are selling yourself. Searching if you have selected a category (for example Art), search toolbar will bring a wide array of choices: Search by Item Title (this category) Your search will look for Items which contain keyword(s) in the Item Title in the category you have currently chosen. For example, you could enter keyword Picasso to find any items of interest relating to Picasso in all of art categories. Last Minute Search (this category) You can search for any specific items matching your keyword(s), whose auctions are about to end( within next 12 hours) . If you don't enter any keywords, this choice will bring all auctions about to end in this category. New Auction Search (this category) You can search for any specific items matching your keyword(s), whose auctions have recently (in last 12 hours) started in this category.If you don't enter any keywords, this choice will bring recently placed auctions in this category. Dutch Auction Search (this category) Will find Dutch Auctions matching entered keyword(s) in the specific category. No keywords entered will find all Dutch Auctions in the specific category. No Reserve Auction Search (this category) Will find No Reserve Auctions matching entered keyword(s) in the specific category. No keywords entered will find all No Reserve Auctions in the specific category. Buy Now Auction Search (this category) Will find Buy Now Auctions matching entered keyword(s) in the specific category. No keywords entered will find all Buy Now Auctions in the specific category.Search in Item Description (this category) Will look for items whose description contain keyword(s) you have entered. Note, if you enter no keywords, search will return too many items found message. Search by Item Title (All Categories) Same type of search, as in general section. Will find specific items matching keyword(s) in title across All Categories. Seller ID Search Same type of search, as in general section. Will find items listed by specific seller across All Categories. |
