Welcome to the digital world! This guide is intended to introduce prospective sellers to methods of selling mobile/cell phone graphics solutions. Or in other words, how to put up all those nifty pictures you have, so others can buy them to use on their mobile phones. We'll start by assuming that you already have registered an account at Bidera. If you haven't done so, you can register here. If you have any questions about registering, please, check our help file on registering. The first step is to make sure your pictures are of required size and color depth. Pictures meant for Operator Logos should be W72xH14 (Width of 72 pixels and Height of 14 pixels.) Pictures meant for SMS messages should be W72xH28 (Width of 72 pixels and Height of 28 pixels. ) All pictures should be in uncompressed GIF format in B&W (black and white, ie 1 bit color depth). Once you have made sure the pictures you want to sell match the requirements above, log in your account at Bidera and choose post a new item (just like you would when selling regular items). Choose 'I Want to Upload Images from my Hard Drive Option'. Enter the full path name and file name of the image you want to upload in the 1st Image slot. Tip: using Browse button might make it easier for you to locate the file you want to upload. Do not use other slots, as you will get an error message later on when you pick Digital Auction. After uploading the picture to our server, you will be prompted to select a category for your auction. Choose Digital. Now, you will be presented with a screen, which is similar to one used enter other categories, with some differences. After typing Title description of your auction, choose subcategory of your Digital auction. Next, select what type of item your auction will be selling, whether it will be SMS postcard or Operator Logo. Refer to the beginning of this guide about the required dimensions for the image. Days until Close: We recommend selecting 140 days, as that will give the most exposure to your auction, but Digital auction length can be anywhere from 10 to 140 days. Next entries are very similar to ones used in regular auction. You can choose various attention grabbers, and also enter payment terms in the other selections. Also, you can (and probably should) enter a more detailed description of your image (can use plain HTML if you wish). Enter the price of your auction. For most images we recommend keeping the price around or under $1.00 US. Finally, you can choose whether you wish to receive bidding activity notification by e-mail. That is, you will receive a notice every time someone buys one of your auctions. That is it, make sure you entered everything correctly and off you go. Your image will go on for sale on our Digital auction section. On a final note, notice that nowhere you were asked to enter the quantity of images you are selling. The number is unlimited, while your auction runs, you can have a very large number of customers buy your picture, and your auction would still continue running. You will be charged a separate fee each time you make a sale, but you will be also making money with each sale. Of course, you should try to promote your auction, if you wish to increase sales, but as for delivery, emaximarket takes care of that. Limits: In order to start selling in the Digital Auctions category, you must have a positive balance of $15 or more in your account. Easiest way to increase your balance at first is to add more funds using Paypal at any time while you are logged in My Account. To receive payment from your account, you must accumulate a balance of $100 or more in your account. If your balance is less, you are free to use it for internal auction related payments within Bidera (pay auction closing fees, etc.). |
